For years, Lydia has dreamed of overseas mission work, the way some women dream of getting married. How ironic that she needs a husband to finally make it happen. She's always been practical, however - even if it means a marriage-of-convenience, so she can finally do the work she's called to do. Gabe needs a wife at exactly the right time. Plus, he's kind of hot.
After a spectacularly failed marriage, Gabe isn't looking for a wife. He and his nine-year-old daughter are doing just fine on their own. But he's happy to negotiate a practical arrangement with Lydia in order to move into a new and more rewarding job. After all, a marriage like theirs won't end up changing his life very much.
They both have their priorities, and marriage just isn't one of them. But their carefully planned relationship doesn't exactly go as planned....
A Family for Christmas Willow Park Book 3 (Audible Audio Edition) Noelle Adams Jane Cramer Books
The story felt like the book 1 rewritten using some find and replace. I was not really impressed with what appeared to be a rehearsing of the book 1. The book will be better appreciated of one has not read the first book. It contains some Christian reference, the best quote to me was Pastor Daniel's insight that " God did not save the world by magic" even though he made the world by declarations. The book contains erotic descriptions in case you would rather read a clean Christian novel.Product details

A Family for Christmas Willow Park Book 3 (Audible Audio Edition) Noelle Adams Jane Cramer Books Reviews
When two people agree to a marriage so each can get to get their perfect job. One brings a child with him. Can this new family get into together for the perfect Christmas holiday. I loved this perfect love story. It had laughter and some tears and some great sex scenes. This was the first book from this author for me and her writing makes the characters come to life. I can’t wait to read another book.
This was a sweet, thoughtful book. Gabe and Lydia embark upon a marriage of convenience. Gabe has a 9 year old daughter, Ellie, and trust issues. Lydia has never really entertained the thought of marriage. This was just a means to an end to get her to India to work with women affected by the sex trafficking industry.
No worries. Sex trafficking is not involved. It's only mentioned as something Lydia wants to assist with in her capacity as an attorney.
On one hand, it seemed a bit unrealistic because they agreed to marriage after meeting the first time. On the other hand, they had plenty of time to change their minds before the actual wedding took place.
Gabe, Lydia, and Ellie work to create a relationship as a family. This book really made me think about relationships and how they develop. I have read many romance novels that are just fluff and sex. Doesn't require any real thought to get through them.
The difference with this book is that it allows you to be thoughtful while being engaged at the same time. There is a sense of intimacy with this couple that you don't always get in romance novels. I would have enjoyed an epilogue, to see what happened down the road, but, overall, I did enjoy the book.
I very much enjoyed this book, but I definitely suggest reading to the end. I did feel the story was completely different, and I was not expecting it, but I fell in love with all characters by the end and would actually like a part 2 with these 2. I want to see what happens when Lydia goes to India, or if she can really leave. With all that being said I just want to say Noelle is one of my go to writers. If I find myself finishing a book and trying to figure out what to read next (I tend to read full series back to back), I will usually get one of hers and know I will enjoy it. Always interesting and original. I AM NOT KIDDING. I totally need a part 2 to this book
This is the third book of the Willow Park series, all of which I think are amazing. Noelle Adams has certainly become one of my favorites. The main story is similar to Daniel’s and Jessica’s story from the first book, because the couple want to get married for practical reasons.
This could be read as a standalone however, the other two are worth your time to read.
It is a marriage of convenience story where both the main characters, Lydia and Gabe, will both benefit from marrying each other. Gabe doesn't want a wife but finds himself needing one. Lydia doesn't do the love thing but finds herself needing a husband to complete missionary work overseas in India.
Very good read.
Lydia has always wanted to do mission work in India. The only problem is no one wants to support her in that, because she has no husband, something she never really saw herself having.
Gabe has never intended to remarry after what happened with his first wife. But finds he would be better off having a wife for the job he is applying for.
After a friend recommends Lydia and Gabe meet and they start talking and decide a marriage of convenience would work out well for them both.
I really enjoyed this story. Seeing if their relationship would turn into anything more than just convenience. Also seeing how Ellie, Gabe's daughter would handle it all. This was a loving story with some added steam to it. Another great addition to The Willow Park series!!
When two people come together in order to be able to work at a job in India they decide to marry. The stipulations of the job indicate marriage for the two. They vaguely know each other since living in same town but difference in ages make them almost strangers. The woman has a law degree and has her main goal as working in India with children and women who have gotten in the slave/sex trade. The man is divorced, has a daughter and a successful business who wants to work in India teaching how to start businesses there. Lo and behold, they decide to marry as a business dear and work out most of the details. The wedding is done, the house is bought, the couple are living together under the same roof but no real love has entered their relationship...afterall, it is a business deal. Guess what happens to this couple? Yes, you guessed it so now read the book and get the details.
This book was downloaded onto my from and it was a fun read.
Lydia wanted to work in India to help the women who was freed from sex trafficking. Gabe also was doing work in India. The problem was both needed a spouse in order for others to feel confident about backing their work, but neither Gabe or Lydia was looking for marriage. Gabe's was divorced, and raising a little girl Ellie, and he had no room or trust to go through marriage again, after his wife walked out on them. Lydia, just didn't have time or desire, as her main mission was her Christian outreach work to help women. But Gabe and Lydia thought they found the answer to all their problems, with marrying for convenience to further their goal. What neither counted on, they actually ended up loving and committing to one another and to raising Ellie. Yes, it's a happily ever after, but it hit a few bumps along the way, but they found the same path to walk together.
Lovely and endearing read. God can work in mysterious ways and work things out a lot better then what we plan.
