Oh gawd I love a Scottish hero!!! And Cameron McGregor is absolutely the best! I’m just so overrun with emotions after finishing this book! I want to laugh and cry and start reading it all over again because it..was..wonderful!

Joellen learns she has a new neighbor when the most horrendous music blares from behind the door across the hall. She never expected the mountain of a man, wearing nothing but a kilt and boots, to answer her knock. She never expected to find herself being blackmailed into cooking him dinner each night or to agree to kissing lessons. Least of all, she never expected to fall in love with the overgrown egomaniac. But she did. And the getting there is a thrilling ride of sarcastic wit, humorous banter and sexy smiles.

Nothing makes me happier than a heroine with snark and a hero who can appreciate it. Cameron not only appreciates it, he encourages it, and in doing so begins to show Joellen that she’s perfect just the way she is, despite years of believing otherwise. I absolutely LOVED him for this because I saw so much of myself in Joellen. Yet with all his egocentric mannerisms and dialogue, there was so much more to him and when he shared those deeper thoughts and philosophies…it was a game changer. Not just for the heroine, but for me. Thank you Ms. Geissinger for putting into words what every woman who has ever criticized herself needs to hear.

I also loved that this author would merrily trot me along with laugh out loud one liners and then suddenly, within one line, my heart would clinch and my eyes would well up with tears and I was feeling everything! That’s the kind of thing I long for when reading.

Okay, so I know this review is a bit disjointed and doesn’t flow but that’s because there’s just too much goodness here to put into words. This is a book you have to experience to appreciate. A mere description will never do it justice. So I’m just going to end this here by saying that one of THE most romantic and heartfelt, and yes, make-you-cry lines I’ve ever read is when Cameron McGregor claims to his woman in regards to ice cream, “I have all the flavors, lass.” Sigh.

Im not big on writing reviews, im not great with words & feel like i just keep repeating myself. But i seriously adore Mrs Gessingers words so much i just had to drop a few lines. I loved this book, seriously everything about it. I love me a slow burn especially when theres an adorable hot as hell alpha & a feisty herione invovled. Just like i knew Mrs Gessinger would, this book did not disappoint. I smiled & swooned through the whole book & just generally felt happy while reading!! There's not a book I've read from her that i did not 5 star, i really really need all her words!! Read this book, then pick up any other book by this author cause your gonna be in love with her words just like me & need more immediately!!
Anyone who has ever felt awkward and insecure, with low to no self-esteem, will be able to relate to Joellen, who lives a pretty lonely life outside of her job as a copy editor for Maddox Publishing in New York City. For ten years she’s been in love with and fantasizing about her CEO, Michael Maddox, who she believes to be the most perfect man alive, all while she considers herself to be a loser. When she finds out that Michael is getting a divorce, Joellen decides it’s time to get in shape before the annual office Holiday Party. Cameron McGregor is a star Rugby player from Scotland who has switched apartments for the holidays with his cousin, Kellen – Joellen’s neighbor. When they meet, Joellen’s impression of Cam is that he’s a narcissistic, obnoxious, rude, man-whore, while also being a huge, tattooed, muscular hottie! The two of them unintentionally get into an uneasy, yet nonetheless fun, friendship, and Cam volunteers to help Joellen get the man of her fantasies. Cam and Joellen are HILARIOUS. I laughed so much while reading this story; a story that shows you can’t always judge a book by its cover, you can’t believe everything you read, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you should always love yourself first, and sometimes what you really want and need is right in front of you. I absolutely loved this story. It's a definite MUST Read!

After reading Midnight Valentine, I started stalking Geissinger's new releases and I couldn't get my hands on Melt For You fast enough. Honestly, I didn't think it could be as good as Midnight Valentine. I was wrong because my expectations were exceed I loved it. After I started, I couldn't put my down so I've read it in one sitting, I was addicted since the very first moment that Joellen and Cameron laid eyes on each other.
Joellen is a smart, independent, beautiful (yes, beautiful!), sensitive, relatable woman, she's been in love with her boss for ten years and the fact that she was always invisible to him isn't exactly doing wonders for her self esteem. One day, when she's arriving home after work, she realizes she has a new neighbor who enjoys loud rap, she just wasn't expecting knocking on his door to complain about the loud music only to be wowed by a sexy, hot, Scottish dressed in nothing but a kilt...
Cameron is a very famous Scottish rugby player who is used to women falling to his feet, he's living temporally across the hall from Joellen's apartment and he's just being himself, partying, drinking with his loud music always pumping. So, when his neighbor knocks on his door, he's drunk and partying, so he lowers the music and slams the door on her... Talk about a rocky start!
I absolutely loved this story, the characters, their hilarious banter, their steamy moments, the relationship, their amazing chemistry, how Cam dealt with Joellen's self depreciation, their imperfect amazing love story, but mostly I loved the strong message in this book (to all the Evas out there - you'll get it if you read it).
Highly recommended to anyone who loves an imperfect amazing love story with strong, complex characters, lots of funny moments and intense chemistry.
